Cost is $50, FMS is required before entering any of our programs. The FMS results provide us with a specific detailed report which allows us to build a customizable program for everyone who comes in to the club.

Our members train hard, and train very consistently. They have earned their place in our classes and personal training sessions. If you want to train with us please make an appointment for a Functional Movement Screening and we will take it from there.

Our regular membership allows you to participate in both our Strength Training sessions in addition to our Conditioning sessions. This fully packaged program has everything you need to increase your metabolic health, build lean muscle, and in no simpler terms, have you looking good naked. Period!


 

  • Month to Month Rate: $120.00 (1 year membership)

    • All classes are 30 minutes duration. Students must arrive on time and be warmed up as we begin promptly.

    • Upfront Payment: $1200.00 ($240 savings, and it covers you for the year)

  • Month to Month Rate: $135.00 (6 month membership)

    • Upfront Payment: $720.00 ($90 savings, and it covers you for the entire 6 months)

OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING

Looking for a new kind of challenge? Want to become strong, explosive and among a unique group of athletes who can call themselves truly powerful? Then Olympic Weightlifting might be for you. Weightlifting demands commitment, discipline, and hard work, a focused mind and a goal oriented attitude. Our weightlifting club is one of the fastest growing clubs in the country, and we have the distinct feature of having the former National Team coach on staff. Weightlifting is a sport for both men and women, and can be taught to children as young as 8 and 9 years of age. The motor skills and coordination necessary to excel are high and they are best developed through practice, practice, practice. With more than 40 years of coaching experience on our staff, we can help you or your children to learn the olympic lifts effectively.

Ontario Winter Games Super Heavyweight Champion

 

Alex Matteas won the Gold medal in the Super Heavyweight class this past Friday at the Ontario Winter Games. Coach Dan Robitaille brought this little guy to a win after only 3 months of training. Good results here at Capital Weightlifting Club.

We are currently running 4 different BodyContour Kettlebell Programs at CrossFit.
 
1. Kettlebell Complexes -- "Hard-Style Survivor Workout".
 
Pioneered and popularized by Romanian Conditioning Coach, Istvan Javorek, Complexes are a tremendous metabolism booster which compress a high volume of compound exercises into Giant Sets, and are highly regarded in the world of strength conditioning as one of the most efficient methods for improving endurance, muscle tone, motor skills and co-ordination, and developing core stability.
 
2. The Kettlebell Body Composition Program
 
Squat, Swing and Lunge your way through this Lactate Threshold Training Circuit designed to boost your HGH (Human Growth Hormone) levels--the Anti-Aging hormone that has multiple significant positive effects on skin, muscle tone, mood, energy, sleep quality and bone density.
 
3. Kettlebell H.I.I.T (High Intensity Interval Training) VO2 Max Program.
 
Take your Endurance Training to the next level in this kettlebell program which utilizes the Tabata protocol to develop optimal aerobic/anaerobic synergy in a short, intense workout designed to increase the ability of your cardiovascular system to transport oxygen to your muscles while increasing the ability of your muscles to use that oxygen.
 
4. Kettlebell ACL Injury Prevention Program
 
Although there is no way to provide a guarantee against injury, this program will give your knee the best chance possible to avoid ACL injury and keep you in the game instead of on the sidelines. This program is focused on strength development of the lower extremity; core stability; and the creation and enforcement of correct patterns of neuromuscular sequencing essential to protecting the ACL.
